Avonsleigh Berries is a family-run blueberry and sour cherry farm in Avonsleigh in the Dandenong Ranges, established in 1980 by the Edlinger family and now run by Harald and Martine Edlinger. The farm grows its fruit without pesticides and offers pick your own blueberries and sour cherries direct from the bushes and trees. You can also pick cherries here.

Blueberries: January and February 2027
Castella Blueberries is a family-owned u-pick blueberry farm at Castella in the Yarra Valley, about 15 minutes from Yarra Glen. Visitors take a bucket into the patch and pick their own berries across several varieties, paying by weight for what they pick.

Blueberries: December 2026 through summer
Fielderberry Farm is a five-acre pick-your-own berry farm on Fielder Road in Cockatoo, in the Dandenong Ranges, alongside Lottie's Bed and Breakfast run by the same family. Summerberries Blueberry Farm is a family-owned organic blueberry farm at 39 Two Hills Road, Glenburn, in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range about 80 kilometres from Melbourne. Blueberries grow across 10 hectares with shady picnic ground, and because the fruit is organic, visitors can pick and eat straight off the bush without washing it first.

Bucks Berries is a pick-your-own berry farm on the Bass Highway at Grantville, on the Western Port side of Gippsland. Rocky Creek Strawberry Farm is the pick-your-own strawberry farm at Main Ridge in the Mornington Peninsula hinterland, previously known as Sunny Ridge and now back in the hands of its original owners. The farm grows more than 300,000 strawberry plants of the Albion variety, alongside blueberries, blackberries and a limited run of raspberries. Folly Farm Blueberries is a small, boutique blueberry grower at 192 Falls Road, Olinda, high on Mount Dandenong in the Dandenong Ranges. Planted in 1982, it was one of Victoria's first commercial blueberry plantings and grows heritage bushes alongside newer varieties without chemical sprays.

Blue Hills Berries and Cherries is a Chapman family farm at Silvan in the Dandenong Ranges, about an hour east of Melbourne. Berries follow through spring and summer: strawberries from early November through to April, blueberries in December and January, and raspberries from November into mid December and again from mid February. Sunny Creek Organic is a fruit and berry farm at Trafalgar South in Gippsland, run by Phil Rowe and Cathie Taylor over more than 30 years. Visitors can pick their own blackberries, blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for $20 per kilo, with a farm gate entry fee of $12 per adult and $8 per child aged 2 to 12. Jay Berries is a family-run U-pick berry farm at 140 Wandin Creek Road, Wandin East, in the Yarra Valley about an hour east of Melbourne. The Stewart family has grown strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries on the property for around three decades, and also grows seasonal vegetables that visitors can pick alongside the berries. Usually November to February, depending on the weather. Farms announce their own dates and we carry them on each listing.
In the last confirmed season, Emily Hill Farm charged $25 minimum per kg (16 years and over). Otway Blueberries charged $17 per kg, or $14/kg if you pick more than 5kg. Rocky Creek Strawberry Farm charged $20 adult / $10 child (4 to 12) mixed berry u-pick, includes a punnet; family pass $50. Summerberries Blueberry Farm charged $20 per kg. Prices change during the season, so check with the farm before you travel.
6 of these farms take bookings ahead of a visit: Avonsleigh Berries, Blue Hills Berries and Cherries, Emily Hill Farm, Folly Farm Blueberries and Summerberries Blueberry Farm. The rest are walk-in, but picking depends on the weather, so ring ahead either way.
