Ports Christmas Tree Farm is a family-owned choose and cut Christmas tree farm on Belgrave-Hallam Road in Belgrave South, in the Dandenong Ranges, with views over the surrounding hills. Visitors walk the plantation to pick the tree they want, and staff cut it on the spot, a "you choose, we chop" model rather than a pre-cut lot.

Dandenong Christmas Tree Farm has been growing real Christmas trees for nearly 50 years, originally at Dandenong North before relocating to Officer, about 40 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, after the original site made way for the EastLink motorway. It is run by Neil and Neal and grows Radiata pine trees that are pruned throughout the year.

Wandin East
Christmas trees
Cobradah is a pick-your-own farm at 85 Monbulk-Seville Road, Wandin East in the Yarra Valley, growing sour cherries and raspberries and also running a choose-and-cut Christmas tree operation. Sour cherries are typically ready from Boxing Day through to about the second week of January, and fruit is paid for by weight. You can also pick cherries and raspberries here.

Yarra Valley Christmas Tree Farm is a family-owned choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm at 290 Clegg Road, Wandin North, run by the same family since 1999. Visitors follow a tree-lined walk out to the fields, choose their tree, and staff cut it and carry it back to the car.

Usually November and December, depending on the weather. Farms announce their own dates and we carry them on each listing.
In the last confirmed season, Dandenong Christmas Tree Farm charged $50 (4ft) up to $250+ (10ft and over), sized and priced on the day. Daylesford Christmas Tree Farm charged $65 for a 4ft tree up to $200 for a 10ft tree (most recent price list); larger trees priced on application. Evergreen Christmas Trees charged $30 up to 3ft; about $10 per foot beyond that, e.g. around $40 for 3-4ft and $50 for 4-5ft. Narre Warren Christmas Tree Farm charged from $75 (5ft) to $400 (12ft), set after cutting by height. Prices change during the season, so check with the farm before you travel.
