About South Gisborne Christmas Trees
South Gisborne Christmas Trees is a small Christmas tree farm on Millett Road in South Gisborne, in the Macedon Ranges north-west of Melbourne. Visitors walk the rows, choose a tree and cut it to the height they want, then take it home.
The farm trades for only a few days each year. In 2025 it opened on Saturday 29 November and Sunday 30 November from 9am to 6pm, and on Monday 1 December from 3:30pm to 7pm, then added Tuesday and Wednesday evenings because of the wet weather before closing on 3 December. Trees were a flat $70 each, paid in cash. The farm has not yet announced its 2026 dates, so watch its Facebook page from November.
Because the season is so short, going on the first weekend gives the best choice. Bring cash, and keep the tree standing in water once it is home, as the farm reminds customers, so it lasts through to Christmas. For questions ring the farm on 03 5428 3438.
