Fielderberry Farm is a five-acre pick-your-own berry farm on Fielder Road in Cockatoo, in the Dandenong Ranges, alongside Lottie's Bed and Breakfast run by the same family. Visitors pick blueberries, raspberries and thornless blackberries straight from the bushes, with no entry fee to walk in and pick. You can also pick blueberries and blackberries here.

Blue Hills Berries and Cherries

Blue Hills Berries and Cherries is a Chapman family farm at Silvan in the Dandenong Ranges, about an hour east of Melbourne. Berries follow through spring and summer: strawberries from early November through to April, blueberries in December and January, and raspberries from November into mid December and again from mid February. You can also pick cherries, strawberries and blueberries here.

  • Open: 9am to 5pm most of the season; shorter Tue-Fri hours in October

  • Entry: From $18 per person for cherry picking, all you can eat in the orchard; fruit taken home is weighed and paid for separately

Chappies U-Pick Cherries and Berries

Chappies, trading as Chapmans Berry and Fruit Farm, is a fourth-generation Chapman family farm at 21 Parker Road, Silvan, in the Dandenong Ranges foothills of the Yarra Valley, about an hour from Melbourne. Raspberries, blackberries and the farm's Krimson Berry variety are also available to pick on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays over summer. You can also pick cherries and blackberries here.

  • Open: Daily in cherry season; berry picking Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 9am to 5pm
  • Entry: $10 per adult, $5 per child, free for preschool age; hand-picked fruit charged separately by weight
