About Hampton Blue
Hampton Blue is a long-established certified organic blueberry and raspberry farm at 83 Keys Road, Hampton, in the Great Dividing Range about 30 kilometres north of Toowoomba. The Groom family has grown organic blueberries here since 1983, and the farm now produces more than 10 varieties of blueberries and raspberries with their own distinct flavours, sold fresh and frozen, plus jams and sauces made in the farm's licensed kitchen.
The farm's commercial blueberry season runs October to February, with raspberries from December to May. Pick your own access at the farm gate is not offered every day of the season: the farm opens the patch to the public on a small number of announced dates each year, publicised through its email list and Facebook page, so anyone wanting to pick should subscribe or follow along for the current dates rather than turning up unannounced.
Outside those u-pick openings, Hampton Blue fruit and preserves can still be bought at the farm gate, at Brisbane markets, through organic stores, and at the annual Hampton Food Festival.
