About Warraba Sunflowers

Warraba Sunflowers is a small family farm at Cambooya, on the Darling Downs about 29 kilometres south of Toowoomba. The farm grows around twelve acres of sunflowers and opens its fields to the public twice a year for a cut-your-own experience, once around Boxing Day into mid January and again in autumn from around May into June, on selected weekends only while the flowers are in bloom.

There is no fixed season calendar. Exact opening weekends are announced on the farm's Facebook page closer to each bloom, and openings depend on the crop coming through, so a dry season can mean the fields do not open at all that year. When open, visitors are free to walk the rows, take photos and cut their own flowers to take home; a limited number of secateurs are available to borrow on site, so bringing your own is recommended. Enclosed footwear is advised for walking around the paddock.

The farm sits off Watts Siding Road in Cambooya, in the Southern Queensland Country tourism region. Because the schedule moves from year to year, visitors should check Warraba Sunflowers' Facebook page for the confirmed weekend dates, hours and any entry cost before planning a trip.
