Frances Strawberries is a family-run hydroponic strawberry farm near the hamlet of Frances, between Naracoorte and Bordertown in the South East of South Australia.

Open: Farmgate shop open seven days a week during the season; pick your own has historically been offered on the busiest days, such as Boxing Day and New Year's Day, until stock sells out

Strawberries: November 2026 to April 2027, $13.50/kg

Beerenberg Farm is a strawberry pick-your-own farm on Mount Barker Road in Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, about 30 minutes from Adelaide's CBD. The Paech family has farmed the property since 1839, and pick your own strawberries has run continuously here since 1975, making it one of the best known farms of its kind in Australia.

Open: Almost every day, November to April. 9am, last field entry 4.15pm
Entry: $5 per person to enter the strawberry patch, children 12 and under free

Harvest the Fleurieu is a family-owned strawberry farm, market hall and cafe at 2256 Victor Harbor Road, Mount Compass, on the Fleurieu Peninsula, started by the Sherry family after they bought the land in 2012.

Open: 9am to 4pm daily during the season
Entry: Ages 12+ $5, ages 5 to 11 $3, under 4 free (entry to the picking patch)
