About Payne's Orchards

Payne's Orchards is a pick-your-own fruit orchard on Bacchus Marsh Road at Bacchus Marsh, in Victoria's Macedon Ranges area. Visitors can pick a run of crops through the season: cherries in November and December, apricots from December into January, peaches from December to February, nectarines from February to March, and plums alongside the other stone fruit, before an apple season that runs from February through to June.

Entry costs $5 per person aged 12 and over and $2 for children aged 3 to 11, on top of the cost of fruit picked, which is weighed and charged by the kilogram. Apples have most recently been priced at $8 per kg. Entry is by pre-booking, with sessions starting on the hour and running for 40 minutes, and buckets are supplied.

The farm does not monitor phone enquiries during picking season and asks visitors to book online or join its VIP email list instead. As at mid 2026 the farm was closed for winter, reopening each November: check the website or Facebook page for the current season's exact dates before visiting.
