About Emu Valley Blueberries
Emu Valley Blueberries is a family-run blueberry farm at 43 Ellis Road, Romaine, in the Emu Valley near Burnie on Tasmania's north-west coast. Most of the crop is sold to fresh fruit grocers across the north-west, and during the summer season the farm also opens its rows for pick-your-own.
In the 2026 season picking opened on 10 January, and picking ran through to early February. Pick-your-own sessions ran from 10am to 3pm, mostly on weekends with some weekdays added, and the last week was open Tuesday to Saturday. Fruit you pick is charged at $15 per kilogram, and adults pay a $5 entry fee.
Opening is weather-dependent. The farm closed on wet days, shortened a hot Wednesday to 10am to 12pm, and delayed one morning after a heavy dew. In 2026 it also ended picking a day early because fruit was running low after a hard season. On days without picking, pre-picked punnets and Nicola potatoes could be ordered by message.
Check the farm's Facebook page for the current season's dates and hours before you drive out, as updates are posted there. You can also call 0418 965 561 or email info@emuvalleyblueberries.com.au.
