Lychee Picking in Australia 2026/27

Usually November to February. Only a handful of growers open for lychee picking, mostly in subtropical Queensland and northern New South Wales, and often on set days announced once the fruit colours. Lychees do not ripen further after picking, so the fruit is as sweet on the day you pick it as it will ever be. Exact dates move with the weather every year, so each farm's own dates are on its listing.

Our 2 farms are spread across NSW (1) and Queensland (1).

In the last confirmed season, The Longan Farm charged $12 per kg for longans (the farms crop is longan; lychees is the closest listed category, a related fruit). Some charge entry per person instead of by weight, and prices move during the season.

Both farms we list take bookings ahead of a visit. Picking depends on the weather either way, so ring ahead or check the farm's own page before travelling.
