About Ron's Fruit and Vegetables
Ron's Fruit and Vegetables, also known locally as Farmer Ron's, is a working produce farm at 193 Anderson Way, about a five minute drive from Agnes Water on Queensland's Southern Great Barrier Reef coast. Visitors can walk out to the garden beds and pick their own strawberries and vegetables straight from the plant, then buy a wider range of fresh produce grown on site from the farm stand.
The farm is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8am to 5pm, and closed Mondays, based on the farm's own Facebook posts. It is a popular family outing, with children picking strawberries and seeing where their food comes from, and shoppers valuing produce that has travelled no distance and needs no packaging or refrigeration.
