About Bargara Berries Meadowvale

Bargara Berries Meadowvale is a small family-owned strawberry farm at 104 Hoods Road, Meadowvale, near Bundaberg. The family has farmed the land since 1988 and has grown sweet, bush-ripened strawberries since 2003. Through the cooler growing months, visitors can pick their own strawberries straight from the rows, then relax at the on-site Strawberry Kiss Cafe with house-made gelato from the farm's own fruit, coffee and pancakes, either at a table or on the lawn.

Picking season runs from May to October, taking advantage of Queensland's inverted, winter strawberry growing window. The farm is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm and Sunday from 10am to 4:30pm.

A separate retail outlet at 100 Hughes Road in Bargara sells prepacked strawberries, other local fruit and vegetables, handcrafted gelato and around 25 varieties of house-made jams and sauces, but picking only happens at the Meadowvale farm. Facilities at the farm include a picnic lawn, toilets and wheelchair-accessible paths.
