About Padbury Pickings
Padbury Pickings is a pick-your-own grape property at 62 Padbury Avenue in Herne Hill, in the Swan Valley. It grows four seedless grape varieties, including red and two green types along with black grapes, and visitors pick their own straight from the vines. The property also grows watermelon and rockmelon for picking in season.
The picking season runs during the height of summer, through January and February, on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 3pm. There is no entry fee, and grapes are priced at $7 a kilo, cash only. Boxes and scissors are supplied on site, or visitors can bring their own basket.
Look for the burgundy picking entry sign at the front of the property when arriving. Because this is a short summer season, it is worth checking the farm's Facebook page before visiting to confirm the vines are still producing and the property is open that weekend.
