About Mannerim Stables Co

Mannerim Stables Co is a family run flower farm on the Bellarine Peninsula, fourth generation growers of cut flowers and spring bulbs. The farm gate sits on Swan Bay Road at Marcus Hill, between Geelong and Queenscliff. A flower cart at the front of the property sells ready cut seasonal blooms most days, and on selected weekends through spring the paddocks open for picking, with zinnias among the varieties visitors can cut themselves. Entry to the picking paddock costs $5 per person, with children under 15 admitted free. Visitors are asked to bring their own basket and secateurs, though a limited number can be borrowed, and to wear shoes suited to a muddy paddock. There is a picnic friendly lawn on site and portable toilets, and toasties and drinks are sometimes available on open weekends. The farm gate store also sells chemical free vegetables and garden bulbs. Because picking is weather and bloom dependent, the paddock only opens on dates announced through the farm's Facebook page, so it is worth checking there before making the trip out to Marcus Hill.
