About Goodmayes Orchard

Goodmayes Orchard is a small, family run citrus and stone fruit orchard in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast, on Darkinjung Country, cared for by the same family for four generations since 1920. The orchard grows mandarins, oranges and lemons, along with sunflowers, and the family also keeps chooks and grows wildflowers on the property. Goodmayes Orchard does not open to the public through the year. Its one public opening is a ticketed pick your own day during the Central Coast Harvest Festival in early June, when visitors can pick their own mandarins and other citrus, cut sunflowers for two dollars a stem, and picnic in the wildgrass picnic area while local stallholders sell coffee and food. Tickets cover one car of up to five people and must be booked in advance, as sessions sell out. Outside the festival, the orchard's fruit is sold at the Central Coast Farmers Market on Sunday mornings rather than picked on site. The orchard is at 76 Keighley Avenue, Somersby, and can be reached by email or through its Instagram and Facebook pages.
