About Artisan Estate Farm Stay
Artisan Estate is a 22 acre farm stay property in Somersby on the NSW Central Coast, planted with around 400 pecan trees. The crop is pecans, which are not on this site's standard crop list and have been recorded here as the closest match, walnuts. Once a year, over the Central Coast Harvest Festival long weekend in early June, the orchard opens to the public for pick your own pecan picking. Visitors can walk among the trees, watch tree shaking and other agricultural demonstrations through the day, and pay by the kilo for what they pick. Entry to the festival weekend is free and there is no need to book ahead. Outside the festival, Artisan Estate operates as a farm stay, with a self-contained guestroom for two set among the orchard, a private patio and barbecue overlooking the dam, and log seating around a firepit. The property is at 30 Ulinga Road, Somersby, and can be contacted by phone or email for both accommodation bookings and Harvest Festival enquiries.
