About Berry World
Berry World is a pick-your-own strawberry farm at 26 Egan Street in Timboon, about 15 minutes inland from the Great Ocean Road. Visitors pick strawberries from the field, or buy pre-picked punnets from the farm fridge, from around October through to April. The farm grows high-flavour varieties that are not usually found in supermarkets.
Picking is generally open Tuesday to Sunday in season, with the field closing for the day once the harvest is finished. The grassed paths between the rows are wide, which keeps dust and mud down and suits prams, pushers and wheelchairs.
The farm also runs Berry Good Thai, a Thai restaurant and takeaway on the same site. Berry World fruit goes into its own products, including strawberry summer wine, very berry jam, chilli sauce and dessert sauce. The farm posts field updates, the season opening countdown and local weather on its website, and keeps its Facebook and Instagram pages current through the season.
