Tony's Summer Fruits is a family-run pick-your-own stone fruit orchard at 721 Canning Road, Carmel, in the Perth Hills. The orchard opens to visitors from December through to April, moving through apples, peaches, nectarines, plums, pears and figs as each variety ripens across the season. You can also pick apples, peaches, nectarines and plums here.

Open: Daily in season. 9am to 4pm

Figs: February to March

Swan Valley Sisters is a family-run orchard property at 1715 Gnangara Road in Henley Brook, run by sisters Ann-Marie and Tara alongside a produce cafe and four self-contained chalets. The property grows citrus, figs and asparagus among its orchard and garden plantings. You can also pick citrus and vegetables here.

Open: Saturday and Sunday. 8am to 12:30pm
Booking: book ahead
Entry: $2.50 per bag, then pay for what you pick

Mr Peter Orchard Farm

Mr Peter Orchard Farm is a large family-run pick-your-own orchard at 1153 Brookton Highway, Karragullen, in the Perth Hills, run by Peter and his son. You can also pick cherries, blueberries, blackberries and apples here.

Open: Daily. 7am to 5:30pm
Entry: $10 per person, children free
On site: wheelchair access, parking and farm shop
