About The Persimmon Place

The Persimmon Place is an eight hectare persimmon orchard at 375 Galston Road, Galston, in the Hills District about 45 minutes north west of Sydney. Pick your own sessions run daily throughout May and into early June, subject to how much fruit is available, with session times at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Bookings are essential as places are limited.

Entry is $14.50 per person aged 12 and over, which includes on site parking, a reusable hessian picking bag, cutting snip rental and a fruit sample, with a $5 rate for children aged 5 to 11 and infants under 4 free (though they still need to be added to the booking). Picked fruit costs $8 a kilogram. Wheelchair friendly picking is available if requested when booking, though dogs are not permitted on site. The farm's own Salt Cafe opened in March 2025, and the property also sells its own jams, chutneys, dried fruit, honey and eggs. Outside the May to early June window the farm states picking will return in 2027.
