About Sunflowers of Timmering
Sunflowers of Timmering is a seasonal pick your own sunflower event on Thornton Road at Timmering, near Kyabram in Victoria's Goulburn Valley, run by the Whipp family. It began after passersby started stopping to photograph the family's blooming sunflowers, and has now run for several years.
The farm opens for a short window each February, across two weekends, with sessions in the 2025 season running 8.30am to 11am and 6pm to 8.30pm. The last 2025 sessions were held on 15 and 16 February and 22 and 23 February. Entry that season was $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12, with sunflower stems available to cut for $4 each or $30 for a bunch of ten.
The visit includes two sunflower fields, a corn maze, a hay bale obstacle course and a lolly dive for children, and a photographer offers sessions in the fields.
Exact dates change each year and are announced closer to the season on the farm's Facebook and Instagram pages, so it is worth checking there before travelling.
