Runs a tree rental scheme rather than casual walk in picking: visitors rent a cherry tree in the orchard and everything that has grown on its branches is theirs to pick. Call ahead to make an appointment before visiting; shed door sales are also available. The orchard sits on 70 acres overlooking Port Huon and the Hartz Mountains and has been growing cherries for over 100 years.

Platinum Ridge Cherries is a long established cherry orchard at 621 Silver Hill Road, Glaziers Bay in the Huon Valley, set on 70 acres overlooking Port Huon and the Hartz Mountains and growing cherries on the property for more than a century.
Rather than open picking, the farm runs a tree rental scheme: visitors rent an individual cherry tree in the orchard and keep everything that has grown on its branches. Tree rental and shed door sales run January to February, Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 3pm, and visits are by appointment only, so call ahead before heading out. Confirm current tree rental prices and availability directly with the farm, as these were not published online at time of writing.
