About Lavender Goat Farm

Lavender Goat Farm, trading online as Ecological Elegance, is a small organic lavender farm at 456 Cygnet Coast Road, Petcheys Bay in the Huon Valley, where goats roam through the lavender fields. Ellen started the farm in 2019 after a tree change from Sydney, inspired by the lavender fields of Provence, and planted the first crop for aromatherapy and culinary use in 2020.

Visitors can spend a few hours handpicking their own lavender, or book in for an aromatic distillation workshop. Farm visits are by appointment, arranged by email rather than a set opening timetable. Lavender itself flowers over the Tasmanian summer, typically December into January. Alongside farm visits, Ellen makes an Ecological Elegance range of lavender based skincare and bath products, including soap, bath salts and pillow mist, using an ecologically friendly, chemical free approach.
