Blueberries are grown using regenerative agriculture, with no herbicides or pesticides. Buckets are provided for picking. Covered footwear is essential, thongs and sandals are not permitted, because of farm operations. About 25 minutes from Hobart.
About Old Beach Berries
Old Beach Berries is a small pick your own blueberry farm at 218 Old Beach Road, Old Beach, about 25 minutes from Hobart. The blueberries are grown using regenerative agriculture practices, with no herbicides or pesticides used on the property.
The picking season runs January and February, stretching into early March in some years, and no booking is required to visit. Buckets are provided on site for picking. Berries cost $23 per kilogram if you bring your own container to take them home in, or $24 per kilogram using one of the farm's take home boxes. Covered footwear is essential for visitors, as thongs and sandals are not permitted due to farm operations. Card payment is accepted, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and mobile wallets.
