About Mouat's Farm
Mouat's Farm is a family owned and run orchard on the property Wyola, four kilometres north of Batlow in the Snowy Valleys, first planted as an orchard in the early 1920s. Around ninety per cent of the plantings are apples, with roughly 1,200 cherry trees plus a small amount of stone fruit and berries. The farm shop is open daily from 8.30am to 5pm, closed Christmas Day, selling crisp apples, sweet cherries, farm-fresh eggs, homemade jams and local honey, with eskies welcome for visitors to fill. Pick your own cherries, generally available late November to early January, and apples, generally February to May, are offered on top of the farm shop, but picking is not guaranteed every day: it depends on the season and runs only on specific days, so the farm asks visitors to phone ahead and check before making the trip out to pick. Mouat's has disabled access on site. Call the farm directly for the current status of picking before travelling.
