About Majura Valley Farm
Majura Valley Farm runs a seasonal pick your own sunflower maze on the ACT's oldest working farm, Majura House, just ten minutes from the Canberra CBD. The maze is a ticketed, dated event held for two to three weeks each March, with exact dates announced annually rather than fixed from year to year. Entry is $10 for adults, free for children, and tickets must be booked online in advance as walk ins are not sold at the gate. Pick your own sunflower stems are typically offered in the final weekend of the season, at $3 a stem, with secateurs provided. Outside the maze, the farm gate shop sells farm direct eggs and produce from the wider Majura Valley Free Range Eggs business that owns the site. On site there is free parking, toilets and drinking water, and the maze paths are wheelchair accessible, although the ground can be uneven or soft after rain. Dogs are not permitted, aside from service animals. Because dates and pick your own availability change each year and depend on how the flowers are going, it is worth checking the farm's website or Facebook page before planning a visit.
