About Granite Belt Christmas Farm
Granite Belt Christmas Farm is a year round Christmas attraction at Applethorpe, just north of Stanthorpe, built around fields of real, farm grown Christmas trees. The main pick your own event is the cut your own tree harvest, when visitors walk the fields to choose a tree and the farm's crew cuts and nets it on the spot for the trip home.
The tree harvest runs from late November to late December each year. Trees are sold by height, from around $100 for a 1.2 to 1.5 metre tree up to about $600 for a 4.2 to 4.6 metre tree, with netting included in the price. Outside the cutting season the farm stays open as a broader Christmas attraction, with Santa's animals, a Christmas shop and a cafe on site.
Regular opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm from March to October, moving to Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm through November and December. The farm is closed Mondays and Tuesdays outside the peak Christmas period, and closed entirely through January and February. There is a cafe, car parking including coach parking, and pets are welcome by arrangement.
