About Gerrys Cherries
Gerrys Cherries is a family run pick your own cherry orchard at Nashdale, in the Orange cool climate fruit district of the NSW Central West, on land the family has farmed for more than eighty years. Picking runs through December most years, sometimes stretching into early January if fruit remains, and the orchard is normally open daily during the season except Christmas Day. Entry is five dollars a head, refunded if you fill a five kilogram box, and children are free. Cherries picked cost eight dollars a kilogram, and no advance booking is required, though the farm is cash only so bring notes and coins. The property has ample parking and clean toilet facilities, and also sells homemade jams and fresh honey. Fruit is left to ripen fully before picking opens. As with most orchards in the district, opening dates shift a little each year with the weather, so check the farm's Facebook page for the current season before making the trip out to Nashdale.
