About Gather Flower Farm
Gather Flower Farm is a small regenerative flower farm on 7.5 acres of red Yarra Valley soil at Silvan, run by second cousins Mel and Eliza. The property grows seasonal, chemical free blooms and foliage alongside horses, beehives, an orchard and vegetable plots, and includes a renovated barn used for workshops. Pick Your Own Flower sessions run on selected days in February and March each year, giving visitors a short tour of the bee friendly flower patch followed by 1.5 hours of guided harvesting with snips and a bucket supplied by the farm.
Sessions are booked online and priced from $50 for a medium glass vase's worth of blooms up to $100 for a large bucket. Numbers are kept small so the visit stays relaxed. Because it is a working farm, exact directions and parking information are sent by email once a booking is confirmed, and visitors should expect to share the property with horses, bees, cats and dogs. Gather Flower Farm also sells seasonal flower buckets and dahlia tubers, and supplies cut flowers wholesale, outside the picking sessions themselves.
