About Ellia's Garden
Ellia's Garden is a 150-acre family run market garden and pick-your-own farm in the Scenic Rim, about an hour from Brisbane via the Cunningham Highway. Set at the base of the Great Dividing Range with views to Cunninghams Gap, it is a Christian family farm that describes its aim as helping visitors reconnect with nature and real farming, and it runs alongside the Bremer River.
The farm's best known pick-your-own crop is its strawberry hay bale patch, which runs from April through to the end of August. Outside that window, picking rotates through whatever seasonal fruit and vegetables are ready, described on the farm's own site as running from everyday tomatoes to rarer, unusual varieties. Open days for picking are announced about a week ahead.
Regular visiting hours are Sundays from 10am to 2pm, with weekday visits possible by appointment; the farm is closed Saturdays. Beyond the produce, younger visitors can enjoy a hay tractor ride, a dirt pit, a hay bale play area and a seasonal maze that runs March to April, along with farm animals and river access for swimming and boating. Free parking, clean bathrooms and wheelchair accessible paths are provided, and a farm shop and cafe was reported to be opening on site in March 2026.
