About Big Fella Cherries
Big Fella Cherries is a u-pick cherry orchard at 38 Boundary Road, Coldstream in the Yarra Valley. Trees are grown under netting to protect the fruit from birds, and visitors pick straight from the branch. The family prepares each year with pruning, fertilising and netting work ahead of a mid to late November opening; check the orchard's Facebook page for opening days and hours. Fruit can be picked or bought already picked. On site there are toilets and a shaded picnic area with seating, and soft drink, bottled water and light refreshments are sold. The property, known as The Shed, also hosts rustic weddings outside cherry season. Visitors are encouraged to check the farm's Facebook page for the exact opening date each year before travelling.
