About Argyle Australian Saffron

Argyle Australian Saffron is a saffron crocus farm at Lidster, near Orange in the NSW Central West, growing premium Australian saffron. Each year during the short harvest window in April and May the farm runs small, intimate guided tours built around the flowering event: visitors join a farm walk of around ninety minutes to see the crocus fields and take part in the harvest, picking flowers and helping strip the saffron stigmas from the bloom before they are dried, followed by saffron tea and lamingtons. Because the harvest is so brief and labour intensive, tours are small and must be booked ahead through the farm's website; outside the April to May window the property is not open for casual visits. Argyle also sells its saffron and saffron products direct through its online pantry. Crop note: saffron crocus is not on our standard crop list, so this listing is filed under flowers, the closest match. Confirm current tour dates and price directly with the farm before travelling, as the 2026 harvest schedule was not published on the website as of August.
