Swan Valley Sisters is a family-run orchard property at 1715 Gnangara Road in Henley Brook, run by sisters Ann-Marie and Tara alongside a produce cafe and four self-contained chalets. The property grows citrus, figs and asparagus among its orchard and garden plantings. You can also pick figs and vegetables here.

Open: Saturday and Sunday. 8am to 12:30pm
Booking: book ahead
Entry: $2.50 per bag, then pay for what you pick

Ali's Vineyard PYO

Herne Hill

Citrus: May to July

Ali's Vineyard PYO is a pick-your-own property on the Great Northern Highway in Herne Hill, in the Swan Valley wine region. Visitors pick their own grapes from December to March, with pomegranates and dates also available from March to April, before the property switches to pick-your-own citrus, including mandarins and oranges, from May to July. You can also pick grapes here.

The Orchard Perth

The Orchard Perth is a working citrus orchard at 1378 Chittering Road in Lower Chittering, about 45 minutes from Perth in the Chittering Valley. It was one of the first orchards planted in the district, open to the public since 1978, and now grows around 10,000 citrus trees across oranges, lemons, limes, mandarins and grapefruit.

Open: Thursday to Sunday. 9:30am to 4pm, tractor tours at 10am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3pm
Booking: book ahead
Entry: $20 per adult, $12 per child for the tractor tour and fruit picking
On site: cafe, playground, farm shop and picnic area
