About The Fruit Corner
The Fruit Corner has been a family owned orchard at 1 Bracken Road, Pickering Brook, in the Perth Hills since 1953, passed down through the generations. Its pick your own season moves through the year with apples ripening in autumn, cherries starting in November and plums through summer, alongside pears and citrus grown on the property.
Picking runs from 10am to 2pm on open days, with the farm shed selling homemade preserves, raw honey and farm eggs until 3pm. Entry costs $5 per adult and $3 per child, and whatever is picked is charged at $3 a kilogram, with visitors asked to bring their own bags for the harvest and to keep out of any flagged or taped off areas. Because picking depends on what is ripe in a given week, the property's Facebook page is the place to check before visiting rather than turning up unannounced. The Fruit Corner sits about ten minutes from Kalamunda and close to Core Cider House and Masonmill Cafe, and can be reached directly on 08 9293 8024.
