About Southern Highlands Flower Farm
Southern Highlands Flower Farm is a boutique cut flower farm at 51 Newbury Drive, Penrose, just south of Bundanoon, run by a family who moved from the city in 2019. The property grows around 4,000 dahlias across more than 600 varieties, alongside 50 types of peonies, and tulips, ranunculus and anemones. As the farm is part of the owners home, it is not open to the public and can only be visited through ticketed, pre-booked farm experiences, including guided tours, flower therapy sessions and pick-your-own bouquet events such as the Golden Hour experience, priced at $120 for two hours. Different flowers peak through the year: ranunculus, anemones and poppies in September and October, peonies and roses in November, dahlias in February and March, and chrysanthemums in April and May. Because access is entirely by booking for specific announced dates, there is no casual walk-in visiting, and popular sessions such as Golden Hour sell out in advance. Visitors should book through the farm's website or watch its Facebook page for upcoming session dates.
