About Rayner's Orchard
Rayner's Orchard is a family run boutique orchard at 60 Schoolhouse Road, Woori Yallock, set on 40 acres in the Yarra Valley with more than 450 varieties of fruit, including peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, apples, figs and much more depending on the season. Because so many varieties grow on the property, picking is not done on a simple walk-in basis; instead visitors join a guided Fruit Tasting Adventure Tour, on a tractor, where a farm guide points out whatever is ripe that week and lets visitors taste and compare up to eight different varieties.
Fruit picked and tasted on the tour can be taken home, weighed and charged at $7 per kilogram. The tour costs $29.50 per adult and $25 for seniors, children and a family rate, and booking ahead is only necessary for groups of 15 or more. The orchard is open 9am to 5pm, seven days a week, closed only on Christmas Day. Beyond the tour, visitors can feed farm animals, crack fresh macadamias, try house made preserves and eat at the on-site Peach Cafe, and the property also has a nursery and farm gate shop.
