About Morningswood Farm

Morningswood Farm was a pick your own berry farm on the Midland Highway at Eganstown, about 5km west of Daylesford in Victoria's Central Highlands, run by Claire Gunner and Peter Monea on a former pine plantation site. It grew strawberries as its main crop alongside cane berries including raspberries and blackberries, using organic methods and packing berries into punnets made from reclaimed timber veneer rather than single-use plastic.

In past seasons, u-pick strawberries ran roughly from December to March, with picking open to the public on weekends and updates shared through the farm's Facebook page. In August 2024 the farm posted that it had made the decision not to open for u-pick strawberries in 2025.

No confirmation of a 2026 opening has been found, and the farm's own website domain has since lapsed. Anyone interested in visiting should check the farm's Facebook page or call ahead before planning a trip, since it is not clear whether picking is currently on offer.
