About Christmas Tree Keng
Christmas Tree Keng is a family run Christmas tree farm at Bywong, in the Southern Tablelands about 29 kilometres from central Canberra. It is run by Keng and Barbara Tan, who have been growing and selling trees since 1987, and the property carries Pinus radiata and Monterey pine trees planted out in orchard style rows.
Visitors walk the rows to choose their own tree, and staff cut it on the spot with a saw provided on site. Every tree is a single fixed price of $80 regardless of size, and delivery can be arranged if needed. Trees take around five years to grow from seedling to a size ready for someone's living room.
