The farm now grows around 10,000 trees across 30 acres (12.14 hectares) and also supplies tagged trees for delivery across Queensland, including Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Bowen, Weipa and Bamaga, with online ordering since 2019. About Atherton Christmas Tree Farm
Atherton Christmas Tree Farm is a choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm at 9658 Kennedy Highway, Upper Barron, about 15km south of Atherton on the Tablelands. Juana and Alex Adoberg bought the property in 2007 and began selling trees to the public in 2012, after years of growing Monterey Pines. The farm has grown to around 10,000 trees across 30 acres, and now also supplies tagged trees for delivery to towns across Queensland, including Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Bowen, Weipa and Bamaga, with online ordering available since 2019.
On site, the Big Red Barn Christmas shop stocks a wide range of festive decorations, from wreaths to baubles. The shop opens on weekends through October, tree tagging is open weekends in November, and collection of tagged and cut trees runs daily through December. The farm and shop close over January and February each year.
